Craig Flinders, MD, DABA, DABPM
Dr. Flinders has practiced pain management in Lewiston since 1994. A graduate of the University of Utah and Texas Tech University, he obtained his medical degree in 1990. After completing residencies in surgery and anesthesia, including rotations in neuro- and cardiovascular anesthesia as well as pain management, he moved to Lewiston to join Valley Anesthesia and North Idaho Pain Management Center. In March 2004, Dr. Flinders and his partners formed Interventional Pain Consultants and IPC Surgical Center, where their pain management practices are now located.

Dr. Flinders and his family live across the river in Clarkston, Washington, where they enjoy horseback riding, snowmobiling, and hunting, among the many other outdoor activities this region offers.


Lyndal Stoutin, MD, DABA
Dr. Stoutin has practiced anesthesia in Lewiston since 1990 and has been a part of the pain management practice for five of those years. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University, and graduated from medical school at Southern Illinois University in 1986. After his family practice residency, he completed a residency in anesthesiology at St. Louis University.

Dr. Stoutin and his family live in Lewiston. They enjoy the outdoors and are active in their church and community; they were instrumental in the development of a Christian school here.


Gary Haas, DO, DABA
Dr. Haas has been a partner in Valley Anesthesia and North Idaho Pain Management Center since 1999. He is a graduate of Baker University in Kansas and received a degree in osteopathic medicine from the University of Health Science in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1988. After practicing family medicine for several years, Dr. Haas completed an anesthesia residency at the University of Missouri and a pain fellowship at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Haas lives in Lewiston with his wife and children. They enjoy water- and snow-skiing and are very involved in their local church.


Mark Yama, PhD
Dr. Yama obtained his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Indiana and received further clinical training from the University of Texas at Austin. He joined the psychology faculty at the University of Idaho in 1987, where he is currently an associate professor of clinical psychology. At Interventional Pain Consultants, Dr. Yama specializes in the treatment of chronic pain patients. His goal is to broaden the focus of the treatment of patients with chronic pain, recognizing that the experience of being in pain is as much emotional as it is sensory, and that it is vital to reduce the suffering that these patients endure. Dr. Yama also provides tools such as stress management, self-hypnosis, biofeedback, and imagery that are helpful in the management of pain.

Dr. Yama enjoys living on the Palouse with his wife and four children. He has a long-standing interest in nature and amateur science, and has a particular passion for astronomy and telescope making.
